Welcome to EcoTales

Hi everyone! My name is Katie, and today I start a new adventure writing my own personal blog: EcoTales is born!

Although I now work in another industry, I have a degree in Oceanography, and ever since my university years, more than 15 years ago, I've had a passion for science, the climate, and the impact we humans are having on the climate and biological systems.

Over the years I've been shocked with the passiveness of society regarding the climate crisis, despite all the scientific evidence and all the influential voices out there showing that we are headed for disaster. I still can't grasp to understand why we are not doing much about it. For sometime I had anxiety just thinking of the future that awaits us, so I started focusing on the solutions rather than on the issue itself, and I found many promising technologies, more action than I thought towards fighting climate change and many inspiring stories along the way.

Today, I've decided to step up and contribute in my own way, as one more voice, in bringing the science behind climate change, the solutions, the news, and the stories closer to everyone, with the hope that together we will create the necessary inertia towards a more sustainable approach to life on the planet.
